Barnet is a childminder-led Agency
This means that the council deals directly with the childminder for anything related to funded hours. The relationship is between the childminder and the local council. This means that:
You would usually need to reach out to the council to get set up
An account is made for you on the online portal
You are responsible for adding funded children onto the portal
All payments are made directly to you
How to register for funded hours
Send the below email template to [email protected] with a copy of your registration certificate.
A few forms will be sent over by the council that need to be filled in
Once you have completed and returned the forms to the council, a ‘provider portal’ login will be created for you.
Once you gain access to the provider portal, you will be asked to sign a provider agreement as well as share your bank details.
Once all of the above is completed, you are now set up to offer funded hours to parents.
Online Profile Listing
To make you more visible to families in your area, it's important to make sure your profile is listed on the council's childcare finder website.
To do this, you will first need to get access to the 'providers portal' mentioned above. You will then be able to access a form that allows you to be listed as a childcare provider on their website. Once you fill the form and it is reviewed by the council, you will then be listed on the council website.
Here is our OFSTED registration number for any forms that may require it: CA000045
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a newly Koru Kids registered childminder. Koru Kids have been in contact with your team and have provided all the details needed to be registered in your borough and operate as a childminder.
I would like to be able to accept funded hours payments from parents and also be listed in the council's childcare directory for parents to view my profile.
Could you please help me get set up?
